As we begin a new school year, the Allen County Public Library is ready to support students, caregivers and teachers. The library has created its own back-to-school list of necessary items and resources available through ACPL.

  • ACPL Library Card – The most important school supply, it's free and opens the door to other ACPL resources. For library cardholders age 17 and under, any fines and fees that existed prior to June 3, 2021 have been erased from library accounts.
  • ACPL's Virtual Library – Electronic books, audio books, music, magazines, free digital language classes, databases and more are available 24/7 with your library card.
  • Tutor.com Account – Access free tutoring help Noon-10PM, seven days a week in subjects ranging from early literacy to AP Calculus and everything in between. Tutor.com also offers ACT and SAT prep courses.
  • Study Rooms – You can reserve a study room at your favorite ACPL branch in person, by phone or online.
  • AR/Lexile Level Information-Learn how to use our catalog to find books by AR/Lexile level, to make sure you're reading books at the appropriate level
  • Custom Collections – If you are you looking for more books and materials on a theme, genre, or subject, library staff can create a Custom Collection just for you. Custom Collections requests will be filled according to your request with books or movies from your local library location.
  • Public Computers- Computers and printers are available at all ACPL library locations. Reserve a computer in person, by phone or online.
  • ACPL App- Download the library's app on your Android or iOS device. You can search the entire ACPL catalog, place materials on hold, renew your items, search our Events calendar, and find the nearest ACPL location.
