The Maker Labs

A Maker Lab is a space where people can learn and use new technologies and equipment they may not otherwise have access to. Meet and collaborate with friends or request help on a current or new project – the choice is yours!

Our Maker Labs offer a variety of in-person programs, which support the understanding of its technologies and machinery. Labs offer introductory programs guiding you through basic operation of our most popular and innovative machines. Some labs offer intermediate and specialty machine or technology programs.

All minors (17 and under) who would like to use the ACPL Maker Labs must have a participation release signed by a parent/guardian on file. Children in sixth grade or younger must be directly supervised by a responsible parent, guardian, or caregiver while in the Maker Lab."

Maker Lab Availability

The Maker Labs are open for public use. Unlike our guided programs, open hours at the Maker Labs allow participants to use library-provided equipment for their own projects. Participants may bring their own project supplies or purchase them from the library. Staff support is available upon request. Machines are first-come, first-serve. Dates and times are subject to change.
