The Story Behind the Branch

Welcome to the Woodburn branch of the Allen County Public Library (ACPL)! We are happy to serve as a window to lifelong learning and discovery for the residents of and visitors to the city of Woodburn.

For all patrons, with or without library cards, we provide free on-site wifi; public-use computers; access to printing, copying, and faxing; a courtesy phone; and the ability to book a small study room (1-4 people) or large meeting room (up to 32 people). In addition, we host educational programs to help nurture a love of learning and discovery for people of all ages, such as storytimes, lectures, craft demonstrations, book clubs, and more. We specialize in interactive programs, such as paint-along sessions, cooking with kids, and family activities.

ACPL card holders are free to check out growing collections of books for all ages, magazines, audiobooks, movies, video games, board games, puzzles, and mobile hotspots. Our StoryScape, which debuted on March 20, 2024, helps children up to age seven “read, write, sing, talk, play” in a hands-on, fun environment.

For more information about events at the Woodburn location, pick up a copy of our branch calendar of events OR go online to https://acpl.libnet.info/events?r=thismonthto find a calendar of events for all 14 ACPL locations.
