The Story Behind the Branch

The Waynedale Branch has been open in its current location since 1983 and renovated to meet the growing needs of the community in 2004. If you can’t find a place in the front parking lot, pull along the side of the building to the back lot.

The first branch in the system to offer video games, the collection has grown to offer games for the most recent systems as well as classic games for older systems. The gaming section also includes board games and puzzles to check out or play in the library! The space also includes a community puzzle, if you like to meet new people and work together to solve it. The friendly staff at Waynedale would love to help you through technology needs, reference needs, or just finding a book to sit and enjoy at the beautiful wall of windows. The branch offers plenty of spaces for study, reading, and meeting. The children’s area also has scavenger hunts and interactive bulletin boards, as well as a play spaces for self-selected learning and play.

Waynedale has a variety of programs, including book clubs, crafting, and community interest programs to get together and learn something new! There are also storytimes, STEM programs, games for kids, and more!
