2023 COMMUNITY
IMPACT REPORT
A Message from the Executive Director
As I review this report, I am reminded of what happens when a community invests in a world-class institution like the ACPL — it reaps real rewards. This year, we saw record growth in key areas, and we did it while ushering in a new strategic plan and a full upgrade of our computer systems. I am tremendously proud of our accomplishments!
With that pride comes an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the hard work, talent, and vision of our staff; and for the wise and steady leadership of our Board of Trustees. I am also grateful for the continued support of our Friends of ACPL, ACPL Foundation, and many community partners.
And of course, I am deeply grateful for the love our patrons show us daily. You are the center of everything we do and you showed up for us in a big way in 2023.
As we move forward in 2024, we will keep showing up for you — in the longstanding ways you have grown to love and some new, exciting initiatives we think will surprise and delight you!
With gratitude,

“I love the outreach of the library. My kids talked about the end of the year when storytellers visited their school. It’s nice that libraries also act as a community center for neighborhood events.”
